If you have ever wondered how many kcal you burn in a day, the new TDEE Calculator has the answer. Pick your sex, age, height, weight and activity level, and it gives you both your resting energy (BMR) and your total daily energy expenditure in one go.
It uses the widely used Mifflin-St Jeor equation. You can enter cm and kg or inches and pounds, and “Show how it was calculated” lays out the exact numbers behind the result. Under the tool you will also find what TDEE means, the formula and a table of activity factors. The result is an estimate, so treat it as a guide.
